Manual Download Greenlight Platform Mobile Android app
If you cannot download the Greenlight Platform Mobile Android app from Google Play or an equivalent app store, you can download its APK file from the ExpressVPN website. APK, which stands for Android Package Kit, is the file format that Android uses to distribute or install apps. It allows you to install apps on your device manually without Google Play or an app store.
1. Enable APK installations on your Android device
By default, Android disables APK installations for security reasons. To download the APK file of the Greenlight Platform Mobile Android app, you will have to enable APK installations on your device. Follow the instructions specific for your device version and phone brand below.
Android 8 or above
Samsung devices
- On your device, tap Settings > Apps.
- At the top-right, tap .
- Tap Special access > Install unknown apps.
- Tap the browser from where you will download the APK, such as Chrome.
- If prompted, toggle Allow from this source on.
Non-Samsung devices
- On your device, go to Settings.
- Tap Apps & notifications > Advanced.
- Tap Special app access.
- Tap Install unknown apps.
- Tap the browser from where you will download the APK, such as Chrome.
- If prompted, toggle Allow from this source on.
Android 7 or below
- On your device, tap Settings.
- Tap Security.
- Under Device administration, toggle Unknown sources on.
2. Download the APK file of the Greenlight Platform Mobile Android app
- Click on this link, DOWNLOAD APP – you should then be able to see it downloading on the top bar of your device.
- Once it’s downloaded, open the Downloads folder, tap on the APK file, and tap Yes when prompted.
